Finding programs for young people afterschool, on weekends and during the summer can be hard for families. NextUp, in partnership with the City of Richmond, wants families to be informed about OST offerings.
When youth participate in high-quality OST programs they benefit academically, physically, emotionally and socially. Through NextUp’s system youth take part in engaging hands-on learning experiences that are structured and safe, and participate in activities around sports and health, STEM, arts and humanities, leadership and mentoring. All programs are provided by a network of NextUp-approved program providers. Check out our youth outcomes.

NextUp RVA is a nonprofit organization helping youth discover their talents and build positive relationships. It does this by managing a strong system of accessible out-of-school time programs delivered in schools and across the city. When youth participate in quality out-of-school time programs, they learn new skills, find out what they are good at, gain confidence and are engaged learners.
