NextUp convenes and collaborates with out-of-school time (OST) and cross-sector partners to build a thriving expanded learning system for Richmond youth.
The NextUp Network is comprised of more than 150 youth development organizations delivering afterschool and summer programming. NextUp supports our network through funding opportunities, data management and reporting, and provider capacity building.
The following program providers are eligible to receive funding through NextUp for youth programs during the 2026-27 school year and summer 2027.

Richmond youth can thrive in an expanded learning system of in and out-of-school time programs, resources, services, and opportunities. NextUp works in-step with cross-sector partners to help meet youth’s academic, social, emotional, and physical needs through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
NextUp RVA is a nonprofit organization helping youth discover their talents and build positive relationships. It does this by managing a strong system of accessible out-of-school time programs delivered in schools and across the city. When youth participate in quality out-of-school time programs, they learn new skills, find out what they are good at, gain confidence and are engaged learners.
