Evaluation and Outcomes Manager

As the Evaluation and Outcomes Manager, you will ensure the integrity and continuous improvement of NextUp’s out-of-school time program provider network. You’ll lead the development of a research-driven evaluation framework, monitor program effectiveness, and provide technical support to enhance outcomes. Your work will directly impact the quality of youth programs in our community!


What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and Implement Evaluation Frameworks – Create research-based systems to measure and improve program quality and impact.
  • Monitor Program Outcomes – Conduct site visits, analyze data, and report findings to strengthen provider performance.
  • Support Compliance and Contracts – Ensure accuracy in provider contracts and funding requirements, while developing training resources.
  • Enhance Data and System Operations – Work with platforms like Cityspan and NEXIS to streamline data processes and provide technical assistance.
  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement – Collaborate with leadership and program providers to drive innovation and best practices.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Education, Public Health, Data Analytics, Social Services, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience: 3+ years in program evaluation, data monitoring, or youth program quality assessment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data tools (Excel, Tableau, SPSS, or similar), and knowledge of afterschool program best practices.
  • Bonus Points: Experience with community-based youth programs, grant management, and compliance.

NextUp is a nonprofit out-of-school time (OST) intermediary that provides system-level support and coordination for OST programs, services, and resources in Richmond. Our work through data management, capacity building, professional development, and advocacy envisions a Greater Richmond Region where all youth have access to high-quality expanded learning opportunities in both school and community settings. Through a collective impact approach, NextUp builds power across sectors by convening and collaborating with youth, families, OST partners, businesses, and government agencies and organizations. Our partners include youth development agencies in Richmond and a network of over 130 youth program providers. 

NextUp is a hybrid work environment. We work from home Mondays and Fridays and are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
