Description: The Richmond Folk Festival returns to Downtown Richmond’s riverfront October 9–11, 2026, drawing fans to Brown’s Island each year to celebrate the roots, richness, and variety of American culture through music, dance, traditional crafts, storytelling, and food. Now in its 22nd year, this completely free three-day festival welcomes 200,000 people across six stages and more than 30 performing groups from around the nation and the world — making it one of the largest free music festivals in the country and a can’t-miss fall experience for Richmond youth and their families.
