Youth spend up to 80% of their time outside of school, and 4 in 5 youth in Greater Richmond are missing out on afterschool and summer programs, which help youth:
NextUp is expanding access to high-quality afterschool and summer programs for Richmond youth by mobilizing and equipping a network of more than 150 youth development organizations to serve youth in schools and community settings.
You can support afterschool programs established in all seven traditional Richmond Public Schools and the capacity-building, data management and reporting, and advocacy efforts needed to deliver high-quality programs where they’re needed most.

NextUp RVA is a nonprofit organization helping youth discover their talents and build positive relationships. It does this by managing a strong system of accessible out-of-school time programs delivered in schools and across the city. When youth participate in quality out-of-school time programs, they learn new skills, find out what they are good at, gain confidence and are engaged learners.
