Jubilation in June – Talib Kweli
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities is hosting the event, which celebrates Juneteenth. It is free and open to the public:
FRIDAY, JUNE 14 AT DOGWOOD DELL
8 p.m. – Legacy Band
SATURDAY, JUNE 15 AT INTERMEDIATE TERMINAL (3101 Wharf Street)
3:30 p.m. – Performances include local artists Rodney Stith, DJ Prolific, and the Trademark Band. National rap artist Talib Kweli is the festival headliner.
9:15 p.m. – Fireworks
SUNDAY, JUNE 16 AT DOGWOOD DELL
8 p.m. – Grammy-nominated rapper Mad Skillz will bring his Hip Hop Concert featuring a few of his friends to Dogwood Dell in his last performance.
All events are FREE and open to the public.
TRAFFIC AND PARKING DETAILS
- Access to Ancarrows Landing and the Richmond Slave Trail will be restricted from 8 a.m. Friday, June 14, until 8 a.m. Sunday, June 16.
- Anyone attending the festival on Saturday can park at Main Street Station for free and ride the GRTC Pulse bus to the East River Front Station.
- On-street parking will not be available on East Main Street between the roundabout and Nicholson Street.
