11th Annual Junior Book & Author Event
The Junior League of Richmond and the Children’s Museum invite you to be a part of this children’s literary event as we celebrate the 11th Junior Book & Author Event on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the Children’s Museum Chesterfield from 5:30 – 7:30 PM.
This is an engaging literary event for children ages 0–12 that connects young readers with authors and the magic of storytelling. This year’s featured authors and books are:
- “And Then Came You” by Christina Shawn (early reader)
- “The Great Puppy Palooza” by Emily Ecton (middle grade)
- “Conspiracy at The Launch” – Book 12 in “The Virginia Mysteries” by Steven Smith (middle grade)
Individual tickets are $12.00 per person, and Family Four Packs are $42.00. Children who are less than 1 years old and sitting on laps (no concessions) do not require a ticket. Tickets are non-refundable and can be purchased online.
Marco’s Pizza will be served at the event for $1 per slice!
Books can be pre-ordered through BBGB Books. If pre-ordering books for pickup at the event, please select “pick-up” as the delivery option at checkout, and indicate JLR in the comments section.
